For 1996, the NSX received a 1996 Acura NSX 3.2 liter engine, up from 3.0 liters the year before. The extra displacement gave the NSX 290 bhp up from 270 with the 3.0 liter. The 1996 NSX also received a 6-speed manual transmission instead of a 5-speed.
